Parents are an important part of school life. We would be very pleased to have your help either in the classroom or reading with children. To safeguard the children, any parents helping in school will need an enhanced police check.
The Friend’s Association (PTA) has worked hard to raise money to provide the children with better equipment and facilities. We are always looking for new members and helpers to fund raising events. These events also provide an opportunity for enjoyable social gatherings for parents, children and staff.
If you are interested in helping, please contact the Headteacher or Deputy Head.
You may be interested to know that adult learning opportunities/activities are held on the school premises. They are run by outside organisations.
English Language classes for Adults, a Family Literacy Scheme and ICT classes for Adults are some of the recent courses that have taken place in school.
The school uses every educational opportunity to make sure your child does well. We would like to encourage pupils to attend Saturday School, held at Stag Lane school (not far from Queensbury Station). The morning starts at 10.00am with one hour of English and Maths. It finishes at 12.15pm.
There are further activities in the afternoon if you wish. Please contact Mr Murji at school for further information or visit the Paiwand Charity Website.
