After 28 years at the school, our Deputy Head is retiring and we need someone to fill his very experienced shoes. We are looking for a passionate educator and leader, someone who can motivate the children and staff and someone who has the community at the heart of their practice.

Kenmore Park is a community school in Kenton. It serves a rich and diverse population; over 95% pupils come from an EAL background which we believe is one of the strengths of the school. We had an ungraded inspection in February ‘23 and the school continues to be Good. We have wonderful well behaved and motivated pupils, a very well established long serving staff and a supportive Governing Body.

Lunchtime Leader

Salary: £4,350 (inclusive of LW)

Closing date: noon, 8th March 2024

Interviews week commencing 11th March.

A Midday Supervisor (Lunchtime Leader), is required as soon as possible to join our friendly team of lunchtime assistants.

You will also be responsible for organising games and activities for the children to do during their lunch hour, supervise the canteen and help to clear up after the children have eaten.

Normal hours of work are 12.20pm to 1.40pm, Monday to Thursday and an extra half hour on Friday for team meeting/training.

Please complete all aspects of the London borough of Harrow application form fully, CVs will not be accepted. Include your full work history with no unexplained gaps since leaving school education. Include all the significant training that you have completed in recent years which have helped you prepare for Deputy Headship.

Person Specification and Personal Statement

When writing your personal statement, it is very important that you address each of the requirements in the person specification. Ensure that you evidence additional aspects, e g training and qualifications together with your background and experience in your personal statement. Your personal statement should not exceed two sides of A4.


Referees will be asked to provide a reference for all shortlisted candidates. There will be a swift turnaround for this process. Preferred referees are your last two employers and you should provide their official organisation email address for us to contact. One referee is likely to be your current/ last Headteacher.

Tours of the school are essential. These can be arranged by contacting the school and organising a suitable time. You can always email the school at or telephone 0208 204 6294. You will also be able to have an informal chat with the head who can tell you about plans for the future and answer any questions about the school that you may have.


Shortlisted Candidates will be invited for an interview. Formal Interviews will take place on Friday 22nd March. Lesson observations will take place before that date. Candidates will have the opportunity of being observed in their current school with their current class or come into Kenmore for an observation here. The Interview day on Friday will be ‘full on’. There will be a range of activities that Candidates need to complete as well as a formal interview with the Head, School Improvement Partner and Governors. Please expect to be in the school for the full day.
