Intent

Scientific concepts and phenomena are embedded in every aspect of human life. Our children gain a passion for discovering how the world around them functions, through practical experience.

Impact

Every scientific concept within the Key Stage 2 curriculum, under the branches of Biology, Chemistry and Physics are investigated across the four years through experiments and research. Practical, individual observations of subtle changes within their scientific study are vital for each child to grasp ideas. Pupils are encouraged to question their findings and put forward new hypotheses. Reinforcement of Key Stage One learning and also links to Key Stage Three. We aim for each child to have a solid basis and enthuse future scientists and engineers. >
